Nigerian Guild of Editors has appealed to the Buhari administration for a bailout. The NGE made the appeal after a Zoom meeting of its standing committee on Thursday, 4 June.

In a communique issued by the Guild administrative secretary, the NGE said that the dire state of the media, has been made worse by the COVID-19 pandemic.
