Former Mexico international and Chivas legend Omar Bravo, aged 45, was arrested on 4 October 2025 in Zapopan, Jalisco, on suspicion of child sexual abuse, according to the Jalisco state prosecutor’s office and multiple news agencies including the Associated Press. 

Authorities allege that Bravo “abused a teenage girl on several occasions in recent months,” and that preliminary investigations suggest he may have committed similar offenses in prior years. Law enforcement officials expect him to appear before a judge soon while the investigations continue.
