Women Can Play Critical Role In Combating Climate Change

Mrs Sharon Ikeazor, the Minister of State for Environment, says women have a critical role to play in combating climate change.
Ikeazor made this known while receiving Mrs Ebere Ifendu, the President, Women in Politics Forum (WIPF) and other women politicians in her office in Abuja.

According to her, climate change affects everyone but women bear the brunt of its adverse effects.

“Adverse results of Climate Change are security and farming crises.

“We are in the month of November and the rains are still falling. This is unusual and the people who suffer it most are women and children,”

Two women have been killed in a bus crash on Moloto Road in Bronkhorstspruit, Tshwane, in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

“Circumstances surrounding the incident are not yet known, but it occurred this morning between 05:00 and 06:00 while it was raining. The accident happened around a curve,” Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) spokesperson Isaac Mahamba told News24 on Wednesday afternoon.

More Women Accuse Cuba Gooding Jr. Of Sexual Misconduct

Three more women have come forward to police to accuse Cuba Gooding Jr. of sexual misconduct. According to “The People”, claims made by the unidentified women are being investigated and no new charges against Gooding have been filed.

Gooding’s attorney, Mark J. Heller, in a statement the claims that the three women are not “credible.”
