Soyinka Demands Action Against Lopsided Appointments In Buhari’s Govt

Nobel laureate, Wole Soyinka, has called for those responsible for alleged lopsided appointments in President Muhammadu Buhari’s government to be punished.

Wole Soyinka made the demand during an interview on PlusTv Africa on Thursday.

The renowned writer, reacting to an open letter written by retired colonel Umar Dangiwa, over skewed appointments in Buhari’s regime, said: “Umar hit the nail hard and got to the point factually without self-interest. I was appalled when I saw the letter and I said to myself why should I be surprised that such atrocities have been going on.

Gambari Was Abacha’s Man – Soyinka Makes More Revelations

Nobel Laureate, Wole Soyinka, has claimed that President Muhammadu Buhari’s new Chief of Staff, Ibrahim Gambari, was in the circle of late Head of State, Sani Abacha.

Soyinka made these claims in an interview with Plus TV Africa.

Gambari was announced as replacement for the late Abba Kyari, who died due to complications of COVID-19, last month.

However, according to Soyinka, he is “part of the structure” and will not “make any difference here”.

Wole Soyinka In Court For Sowore’s Trial

Nobel laureate, Wole Soyinka, is present at the federal high court in Abuja to witness the trial of Omoyele Sowore, convener of the “Revolution Now Movement”- a protest organised on August 5, 2019, which the Buhari government saw as an attempt to topple its administration.
