Okowa Loses Key Aide Amos Itihwe, Third Aide In One Week

Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta on Tuesday commiserated with the family of Dr Amos Itihwe, one of his Executive Assistants, who died on Monday in Warri.

Itihwe, the EA on Political Matters, is Okowa’s third aide to pass away within one week.

On Monday, Okowa announced the death of two aides, Friday Akpoyibo and Godspower Muemuifo. Both died on March 8 and 4, respectively.

The governor, in a condolence message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Olisa Ifeajika, in Asaba, described the death of Itihwe, who was an assistant on Political Matters, as “sad and painful’’.

Delta Earmarks ₦18bn For Warri, Uvwie Storm Drainages

Delta Governor, Sen. (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa, said the State Government would spend ₦18 billion to construct six storm drainage projects to solve flooding problems in Warri and Uvwie areas of the state.

He said that contract for two of the projects had been awarded to CCECC Ltd and Levante Construction Ltd at the sum of N9.5 billion.

The governor stated this on Monday while fielding questions from newsmen in Warri after inspecting some ongoing projects being executed by the state government in Warri South, Uvwie and Udu Local Government Areas.
