Fears of conflict rose Monday as the United States vowed to send a message to Iran by deploying an aircraft carrier strike group, amid a report that Tehran would scale back its commitments under a nuclear deal after mounting pressure by President Donald Trump.

Ogun state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Friday advised the public against engaging in last minute transactions with the out – going administration, warning that the incoming government would review any of such transactions.

NUFBTE warns firm against engaging expatriates

The National Union of Food Beverage and Tobacco Employees (NUFBTE) President, Comrade Lateef Oyelekan, has advised   Lacasera Company management not to allow expatriates take over positions meant for Nigerians.

He gave the advice when  Lacasera Company new Managing Director, Mr. Chinedum Okereke, visited NUFBTE executives in Lagos.

CAN warns El-Rufai over threat to demolish Dunamis churches

Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Kaduna State has cautioned Governor Nasir el-Rufai over his threat to demolish Dunamis churches in the state, saying Christians will resist any attempt to persecute them.

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) on Wednesday warned corps members on election duty to desist from receiving snacks and drinks from unknown persons during elections.

Maj.-Gen. Suleiman Kazaure, NYSC Director-General, gave the warning while addressing the corps members in Gombe. Kazaure, who was represented by Mr Zakaria Alphonso, Assistant Director, Mobilisation, NYSC, Abuja, said that such gifts could harm them. “Because such items can be poisoned or flavoured with drugs that can induce sleep,” he said.
