10 Governors Visit Dangote Refinery

Ten governors on the platform of the Nigerian Governors
Forum (NGF) friday visited the Dangote Refinery and
Petrochemicals at Ibeju-Lekki in Lagos, stating that it is a
pride to Nigeria and Africa.

The governors, led by the Forum’s chairman, who is the
Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, described the
Dangote Refinery and Petrochemicals as a salute to
entrepreneurship.

Fayemi said the project would contribute immensely to the
economic growth of the nation and provide employment to

Angela Merkel visited the former Auschwitz Nazi death camp on Friday for the first time as chancellor and said admitting Nazi crimes was a key part of Germany’s identity that could combat growing anti-Semitism.

Buhari Departs Makkah For UK On 2-Week Private Visit

President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday departed Makkah via Abdulaziz International Airport Jeddah for Unitted Kingdom after he successfully performed the Lesser Hajj.

News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the President left Makkah for Jeddah at about 1.30pm (local time) while his presidential aircraft took-off for London at exactly 3.05pm.

Pope Francis said Monday he wants to visit Iraq as early as next year in spite of the security conditions.

“An insistent thought accompanies me when I think about Iraq, where I want to go next year so that it can look to the future through peaceful and shared participation in the construction of the common good,” Francis told a Vatican audience.
