Gaza Ceasefire Violations Escalate As Israeli Strikes Kill Four

Israeli airstrikes killed four people and wounded 18 others in the southern Gaza Strip on Thursday, local health authorities said, as Israel and Hamas blamed each other for violations of a U.S.-brokered ceasefire that has lasted nearly six weeks.

The latest attacks struck two towns east of Khan Younis. Medics reported that one strike on a home in Bani Suhaila killed three people, including a baby, and injured 15 others. Facebook hit with $5b fine over privacy violations

The US Federal Trade Commission has voted to approve a fine of about  five billion dollars  for Facebook over privacy violations, according to a report.

It comes after an FTC investigation into allegations that the social media platform inappropriately shared the information of 87 million users with Cambridge Analytica.

Cambridge Analytica, a British political consulting firm, is now closed.
