The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) says its Air Task Force (ATF) of Operation LAFIYA DOLE has destroyed two Boko Haram Terrorists’ (BHTs) gun trucks and killed some fighters at Borgozo in Borno.
Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, disclosed this in a statement on Friday in Abuja.

He explained that this was achieved when NAF Jets and a helicopter gunship were scrambled to provide close air support to ground troops as they repelled a BHT attack on the location.

Old Trucks On Nigerian Roads Must Be Changed – FRSC

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) says most of the trucks plying Nigerian roads are very old and must be changed to further enhance road safety and reduce accidents.

Mr Hyginus Omeje, Lagos State Sector Commander of the Corps, made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos on Wednesday.

He spoke on truck-related accidents and the need to regulate movement of trucks in the state.

Clear 735 Trucks At Seme Border; Freight Forwarders Beg FG

The Association of Nigeria Licensed Customs Agents (ANCLA)  has pleaded with the Federal Government to urgently clear 735 trucks loaded with perishable goods now stranded at Seme.

Mr Bisiriyu Fanu, Seme border Chapter Chairman of ANLCA, made the appeal in an interview on Monday in Seme since August  20.

Rwanda re-opens border with Uganda to trucks for 12 days

Rwanda said on Monday it would re-open its busiest border post with Uganda to cargo trucks for 12 days, more than three months after it was closed amid tensions between the two neighbors triggered by security and economic disagreements.

In a statement, Rwanda’s revenue body said it was “pleased to inform the general public that heavy trucks are allowed to provisionally cross Gatuna border,” for 12 days starting Monday.
