Train Crushes Man To Death In New York Over Phone

Fresh reports reaching the desk of Africa Daily News, New York has revealed that a 50-year-old man is under arrest and has been detained after a fight had broken out with another subway rider which had ended with that man being fatally struck by a train in Elmhurst, Queens.

The suspect had been reportedly standing near the platform of the Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Ave. station at around 4:45 p.m. Monday when the other 48-year-old Heriberto Quintana bumped into him while walking by and the contact had sent the suspect’s cellphone tumbling onto the subway tracks.

No fewer than seven more kidnapped passengers of the March 28 train attack in Kaduna state have regained their freedom after a series of negotiations.

Africa Dialy News, New York gathered that the victims were released yesterday morning after spending at least 135 days in the custody of the terrorists who had abducted them sometime in March.

Google Nigeria has entered into partnership with the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) to conduct IOM’s first Digital Skills Training for returnees and potential migrants in Edo State and Lagos State.  

The training has, however, drawn 93 participants, including returning migrants, interested in setting up small-scale businesses as well as mentorship and job placement opportunities.
