Manchester United have reached a verbal agreement with Turkish club Trabzonspor for the season-long loan of goalkeeper André Onana, though the final decision rests with the player himself.
Onana, 29, joined United from Inter Milan in the summer of 2023 in a deal worth £47 million and was expected to be a long-term replacement for David de Gea. His time at Old Trafford, however, has been turbulent. While he showed flashes of his ability, high-profile errors and injuries undermined his position, and under new manager Ruben Amorim, he has slipped completely out of the Premier League picture.
