Former Emir of Kano and leader of Tijjaniyya Movement in Nigeria, Lamido Sanusi, has counselled Nigerians to stop insulting and cursing leaders over the hardship faced in the country. He made the call while addressing Tijjaniyya adherents from seven states of the North-West geopolitical zone on Tuesday in Sokoto State, according to a statement. The former Central Bank of Nigeria’s governor advised that instead of cursing leaders, Nigerians and Tijjaniyya adherents should be prayerful, expressing optimism that Nigeria will be better. He also warned against disobedience to constituted authorities, noting that things should be done in accordance with the law. Sanusi was quoted as saying, “What is expected of us now is patient, fervent prayers and we must stand up to get things better in our own way through legitimate ways. Nigeria In Deeper Hole Than It Was In 2015 – Sanusi Laments

The Former Emir of Kano and the Khalifa of the Tijanniyah Sufi Order of Nigeria, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has expressed his concerns over the current state of the Nigerian economy while bemoaning that the country is presently in a deeper hole and a bigger mess than it was in 2015.

He had also warned that 2023 may be worse, compared to what the country experienced in 2015.
