Group Threatens To Sue Auchi Poly, Issues 14 Days Ultimatum

A civil society organisation, the Civil Empowerment and Rule of Law Support Initiative (CERLSI) has threatened to institute legal actions against the Management of Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi if they fail to repeal the decision to revoke admission of new students of the institution.

The Management of the institution had earlier revoked the names of students and their status in their admission portal owing to the fact that they were unable to pay their acceptance fees within a stipulated time of two weeks, while those who paid outside the two weeks ultimatum were denied registration.

NSCDC Threatens To Sanction Filling Stations In Jigawa

Jigawa State command of the Nigerian security and civil defence corps, NSCDC, has threatened to sanction filling stations and cooking gas vendors that are operating below standard across the state.

Spokesman of the command, SC Adamu Shehu disclosed this in a press statement issued to DAILY POST in Dutse.

He said the Command observed with dismay the nonchalant attitudes displayed by some of those businesses to safety standards set aside during emergencies.

₦13,500 Pay Threatens Operation Amotekun

IBADAN —THE newly launched joint security outfit, Western Nigeria Security Network, codenamed Operation Amotekun, was threatened, yesterday, by the Soludero Hunters’ Association, SHA.

Members of the hunters’ association rejected the proposed N13,500 monthly payment for personnel of the outfit.

The organised Labour in Kwara State has threatened to embark on industrial action if the state government fails to implement the ₦30,000 new minimum wage.

The labour union comprising of the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC, and Trade Union Congress, TUC, issued the threat during an emergency meeting held at the Labour House in Ilorin, the state capital, yesterday.

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has threatened to proscribe the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) if the members do not conduct themselves well.

A new video dated December 8, showing the execution of two Nigerian soldiers and a policeman has emerged online.

In the video which was obtained by Channels Television on Monday, the killing was carried out by masked men believed to be members of the Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP).
