Senate President, Lawan Denies Advocating 3rd Term For Buhari

The President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan on Tuesday insisted that he stands by the Nigerian constitution on term limit for the president.
Lawan was reacting to a tweet by one Mayor who attributed a ‘fabricated’ statement to him.
Mayor, in a tweet quoted Lawan as saying he ‘won’t mind a constitutional amendment to allow unlimited term of office for President if President Buhari wishes to remain in office beyond 2023.’
Reacting, the Senate President described the statement as a mischief.
