As part of their strategies, the African Development Bank (AfDB) has made a call on some world leaders and some other stakeholders to further implement and increase their financing to mitigate some of the effects of climate change and food insecurity.

The bank had also made the open call at the recently concluded 77th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) meetings which had been held in New York.

40 Secondary Schools Set For Maiden America Football League

The President, Nigerian America Football Association (NAFA), Babajide Akeredolu, on Tuesday said that 40 secondary schools would compete in the maiden edition of the 2022 League.

He said this while addressing a news conference in Lagos to herald the league, set to begin on May 5 at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos.

He said that the league would run for two months.

Buhari Appoints Sulaiman Ibrahim As New NAPTIP DG

The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has sacked the director-general of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, Julie Okah-Donli and in replacement appointed Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim as the new DG of the agency.
