Zamfara: Bandits Demand ₦20m To Release Medical Doctor

While reacting to the abduction of one of their colleagues, the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Zamfara branch, has announced that it is making serious efforts to secure the release of the Medical Director of Dansadau General Hospital, who was abducted by bandits on June 25.

Dr Mannir Bature, the state NMA Chairman, had made this announcement in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Gusau on Wednesday.

C-River Doctors Declare Indefinite Strike, Blast Ayade Govt

The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) Cross River chapter has withdrawn its services from all medical facilities in the state.

This was relayed in a letter addressed to the Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire, from the state chairman of the association, Agam Ayuk, on Sunday.

Ayuk wondered why the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), was not including Cross River in its daily COVID-19 update.

Cross River is the only state in Nigeria where no single case of COVID-19 has been officially confirmed.
