2023 Presidency: Amaechi In Benin, Pledges To Address Insecurity

The Minister of Transportation, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, has pledged to tackle the insecurity plaguing the country.

Amaechi made the promise on Friday when he visited Oba of Benin, Oba Ewaure II, in his palace.

He further promised to give priority to education as his major focus if given the opportunity to serve as president in 2023.

Rotimi Amaechi, the Minister of Transportation has said that the Federal Government was set to apply for $11billion loan to construct Lagos-Calabar railway.

Ameachi also called on the people from the South East and South-South to work together to enable them foster growth in the region.

The Minister of Transportation, Mr Rotimi Amaechi said President Muhammadu Buhari will be commissioning the Lagos-Ibadan railway in January 2021.

The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has lamented the recurring spate of insecurity and political intimidation in Rivers State.

The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has said that the National Assembly should allow the government get the fresh $5.3 billion loan from China.

According to Amaechi, the legislative arm must stop asking questions concerning Nigeria’s loan agreement with China to enable the Asian giants grant the loan.

China Can Seize Assets If Nigeria Defaults On Loans – Amaechi

The Minister of Transportation, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, has said if Nigeria defaults on loans repayment, China has right to take over those assets and run them until it recovers its money.

The minister spoke to journalists yesterday at Idu train station in Abuja during a COVID-19 protocol compliance and inspection after rail operation resumed.

The House of Representatives in their probe of Chinese loans to Nigeria found that the agreements ceded Nigeria’s sovereign right on the assets financed by the loans to China if there was payment default.
