Nnamdi Kanu Is Now Prisoner Of Conscience – IPOB

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Friday, declared its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, as a prisoner of conscience.

IPOB said Kanu, who is in the custody of the Department of State Services, DSS, was arrested for committing no offence.

Emma Powerful, the spokesman of IPOB, said its leader only advocated for self-determination due to the perceived oppression of the southeast.

Herdsmen Attacked Enugu Communities During Anambra Election – IPOB

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has alleged that Fulani jihadists attacked some communities in Enugu State while the Anambra State governorship election was going on.

IPOB disclosed that the attack was, however, repelled by its militia arm, the Eastern Security Network, ESN.

Emma Powerful, spokesman of IPOB, assured people of the Southeast that ESN would not allow Fulani terrorists to occupy the region.

Army Shot Our Member, Not Top ESN Commander – IPOB

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has denied reports that the Nigerian Army shot and arrested one of its top Eastern Security Network, ESN, commanders.

In a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Comrade Emma Powerful, IPOB clarified that the army arrested and shot one Udubuan Sage Chubueze, who is only a member of IPOB and not a top commander of ESN in Ekwulobia Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Saturday distanced itself from the Biafra National Guard, BNG.

IPOB said it has nothing to do with any group involved in criminality.

In a statement by its spokesman, Emma Powerful, it said IPOB’s leader, Nnamdi Kanu does not encourage criminality.

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Sunday said Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State has vindicated its members with his recent remark linking the killings in the southeast to the region’s political elites.
