Terrorists Now Control Forests In Nigeria – Gov Akeredolu

While decrying the rising spate of insecurity in his State, the Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu has openly called on the international community to come to Nigeria’s aid in the fight against terrorism.

The Governor had also raised an alarm that a majority of the forests across the nation have been taken over by terrorists.

Akeredolu’s comments came on a day that President Muhammadu Buhari directed the increased kinetic and non-kinetic efforts to trace and bring back over 51 passengers who were unfortunately kidnapped on a Abuja-Kaduna train.

Akeredolu Meets Buhari, Demands Deputy Governor’s Resignation

The Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, was at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Tuesday, to meet with President Muhammadu Buhari.

Akeredolu, who secured his second term in office by winning last Saturday’s governorship election, presented his Certificate of Return to Buhari.

Speaking with State House correspondent afterwards, he called on his current deputy, Agboola Ajayi, to resign if he still has any honour in him.

Ajayi had dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) first to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and later to the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP).
