The Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Agboola Ajayi, has insisted he would not step down from his position, no matter the intimidation he receives.

Ajayi had dumped the All Progressive Congress (APC) for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), but eventually ended up in the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP).

He contested the October 10 governorship election under ZLP and finished third.

After the election, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu called on him to resign as Deputy Governor.

Agboola Ajayi, the Deputy Governor of Ondo State, has said that the Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu gets a security vote of ₦750million naira and an imprest of about ₦150 million monthly.

Ajayi, who is the governorship candidate of Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) also claimed he (Ajayi) earns ₦12 million naira and not the ₦13 million as claimed by Governor Akeredolu.
