Kano Sharia Police Arrest 32 Suspected Prostitutes

The Kano State Hisba Operatives on Thursday night arrested no fewer than 32 suspected prostitutes within and around Kano metropolis.

The Operatives, who were believed to have acted on intelligence report, launched a combat operation on several suspected dark spots across the city to apprehend suspected sex hawkers.

Hisba headquarters on Friday morning, Shaikh Haruna Muhammad Sani Ibn Sina, Director General, Kano Hisba Board, ordered a high profile investigation to establish the complicity of all the suspects.

Suspected Armed Robbers Kill Unidentified Man In Delta

Suspected armed robbers, at about 10 a.m. on Christmas eve shot dead a yet-to-be-identified man in Polokor Market, Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State.

The suspected armed robbers who did not pick a pin from the deceased, also shot sporadically in the air to scare people.

NDLEA Arrests Suspected Killer Of Officials

The Ondo State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has arrested a notorious drug merchant in the state over his alleged link with the murder of four of its officials.

According to the State Commander of the agency, Haruna Gagara who did not disclose the name of the drug kingpin, the drug merchant allegedly masterminded the killing of four of its men.

He described the arrest as a big catch towards apprehending others connected with the incident.

The Police Command in Kaduna state has confirmed the death of four persons allegedly killed by cattle rustlers at Marbar Agban in Kagoro Chiefdom in Kaura Local Government Area.

More than 100 elephants have died in Botswana in the past two months partly because of a suspected anthrax outbreak, the government has said.“Preliminary investigations suggest the elephants are dying from anthrax, whilst some died from drought effects,” a Department of Wildlife and National Parks statement said.

An Iranian oil tanker was hit by suspected missile strikes near the Saudi port of Jeddah on Friday, causing the oil to leak into the Red Sea, the ship’s owner said.
