β€˜NAFDAC Destroyed ₦3.2b Substandard Medicaments

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has destroyed substandard and falsified (SF) medical products worth more than ₦3.2 billion in the last two years. It disclosed its intention to dismantle open markets for drugs across the country, promising to make available credible alternatives.
NAFDAC also called on the Federal Government to reduce income duties on imported raw materials used for drug manufacturing and increase incentives for local drug manufacturers.
