Court Fixes Date To Rule On Jang’s No Case Submission

Justice Daniel Longji of the Federal High Court, Jos, Plateau State, Monday, scheduled December 31, for ruling on the no case submission made by former Plateau State Governor, Senator Jonah Jang.

THISDAY recalls that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has been prosecuting Jang since March 2018 on amended 17-count charge, alongside a cashier in the Office of the Secretary to the State Government (OSSG), Yusuf Pam for alleged corruption and misappropriation of N6.32 billion belonging to the state.

CJN Onnoghen set for no-case submission, as FG closes case

The federal government on Thursday closed its case of non-asset declaration charges against the suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Walter Onnoghen, after calling three out of the six witnesses listed for the trial.

Onnoghen is being prosecuted by the federal government on a six-count charge bordering on alleged failure to disclose some of his assets in his Asset Declaration forms submitted to the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB).
