Ancelotti Orders Struggling Napoli’s Players Into Camp

Napoli coach Carlo Ancelotti ordered his players on Monday into a training camp after their latest dismal defeat, risking further unrest at the troubled Serie A club.

Ancelotti’s side fell 2-1 at home to Bologna on Sunday, stretching their winless run in all competitions to eight and leaving them 17 points behind Inter Milan, and the 60-year-old has decided to crack down on his players.

“Carlo Ancelotti has decided that the team will stay together as part of a training camp between Wednesday and Saturday’s match away at Udinese,” Napoli said in a statement.

Augsburg Hammer Struggling 10-Man Hertha

Goalkeeper Rune Jarstein was sent off as Hertha Berlin continued to sputter in the Bundesliga, losing 4-0 at Augsburg on Sunday.

Hertha lost a fifth straight game and slid below Augsburg after Philipp Max, Sergio Cordova, Andre Hahn and Florian Niederlechner scored for the hosts. Hertha are just a point above the relegation zone.

Left-back Max opened the scoring for the Bavarians in the 18th minute with a free-kick but the turning point came 10 minutes later.

Struggling begins for ₦10b N/Assembly supply contracts

The management of the National Assembly is in the process of awarding contracts worth at least N10billion as part of the efforts to ease the work of the newly inaugurated  109 Senators and 360 members of the House of Representatives.

The contracts, The Nation gathered authoritatively, are in respect of supply of cars, television sets, refrigerators, water dispensers and office equipment such as desk top computers, laptops, printers, scanners, and photo copying machines.

The items to be bought will replace the old ones used and purchased by members of the 8th National Assembly upon the expiration of their tenure.
