Kaduna Gov, el-Rufai Sacks 19 Political Aides

Governor Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna State has approved the disengagement of 19 political appointees.

This was contained in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Communication, Mr Muyiwa Adekeye, on Wednesday in Kaduna.

Adekeye said el-Rufai thanked the appointees for their service to the state and wished them well in their future endeavours.

Recall that the governor had announced his plan to disengage some public servants in the state for fiscal reasons.

He had said a significant amount of the statutory federal allocations is being spent on the wages of public servants monthly.

‘The Person Who Leaked Buhari’s Speech Caught’ – Adesina

Femi Adesina, special adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on media and publicity, says the person who leaked the draft speech of the president hours to his last nationwide broadcast, has been caught.

Buhari had addressed the nation on Monday, extending the lockdown in Abuja, Lagos and Ogun by a week.

He also commended health workers on the frontline of the battle against COVID-19 and adopted some of the recommendations of governors about the pandemic.

Among the recommendations he listed for implementation are use of face mask in public, restriction of interstate movement and imposition of dusk to dawn curfew.…
