All Is Not Well With Nigeria, Sultan Of Sokoto Laments

The Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar III has asserted that all is not well with Nigeria and that the country could be headed for the rocks if nothing drastic is done to salvage it. 

The spiritual leader of Muslims in Nigeria made this assertion on Tuesday in Abuja.

The revered monarch went on to point out that the fear has been severally mentioned to President Muhammadu Buhari.

NiMet Predicts Flooding In 6 Nigerian States, Warns Residents

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), on Tuesday, predicted that no fewer than six states would experience flooding in a matter of few weeks’ time.

In the aftermath of this, the agency has gone on to warn that those residing close to flood-prone areas to evacuate before this most dangerous time.

In a statement on Tuesday, Director General of NiMet, Prof. Mansur Matazu mentioned the six states as; Borno, Kebbi, Sokoto, Bayelsa and Delta States.

NiMet Director General further said its soil moisture analysis and the weather patterns showed that some parts of these states are flood high-risk areas.

Bandits on Saturday attacked Yar Tsakuwa village, in Rabah Local Government Area of Sokoto State, abducting nine persons, including the serving councillor of the area, Lawali Bello.
