A member of the Sokoto State House of Assembly, Isah Harisu, is dead.

The lawmaker passed away on Monday during plenary.

Harisu, the representative of Kebbe Constituency, was said to have arrived the assembly complex in seeming good health.

Onitsha Catholic Priest Slumps, Die In A Football Pitch

The catholic community in Onitsha Archdiocese was thrown into mourning yesterday following the reported death of her Director of Social Communications, Rev. Fr Pius Uchenna Ukor.

Ukor, a happy and easy going priest also in charge of the Onitsha Archdiocesan owned newspaper, Trinitas, reportedly slumped and died in a football pitch in Asaba Delta State Wednesday evening while coaching a football match between the catholic priests of Onitsha Archdiocese and Issele Uku diocese.

Tragedy As Nigerian Passenger Slumps At MMIA Lagos

A Nigerian passenger, Jude Oladapo, on Saturday slumped and died while undergoing boarding procedures at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos.

Spokesperson for the MMIA Police Command, Lagos, DSP Joseph Alabi, confirmed the development to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday in Lagos.

Alabi said that the 44-year-old passenger was about boarding an Air France flight when he suddenly slumped after receiving news that his wife had died.

According to him, the incident happened at about 5.30 p.m. and the deceased was confirmed dead by Dr Ajayi Olamide of the MMIA Medical Clinic.

There was a mild drama at an Ikeja Special Offences Court on Wednesday as a former chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Ikeja Branch, Adesina Ogunlan collapsed in the dock during arraignment by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Ogunlana collapsed, when the EFCC prosecution, Samuel Daji, asked the trial judge, Justice Mojisola Dada, to remand him in prison custody after he pleaded not guilty to a 30-count charge alongside other defendants.
