President Donald Trump warned Saturday that the US is targeting 52 sites in Iran and will hit them “very fast and very hard” if the Islamic republic attacks American personnel or assets.

In a saber-rattling tweet that defended Friday’s US drone strike assassination of a powerful Iranian general in Iraq, Trump said 52 represents the number of Americans held hostage at the US embassy in Tehran for more than a year starting in late 1979.

UNESCO lists new sites including Jaipur as World Heritage

The United Nations cultural body UNESCO – yesterday added the Indian “Pink City” of Jaipur, the ruins Liangzhu City in China and the Plain of Jars located in central Laos to its World Heritage list.

The additions followed a vote.

The fortified commercial city of Jaipur was founded in the 18th century by Sawai Jai Singh II.

It is built according to a grid plan and the Old City is painted uniformly in a distinctive terracotta hue.
