Shiroro Massacre: Niger Govt Suspends All Mining Activities

Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello who is the Niger State Governor has given out a directive that orders the immediate suspension of all the mining activities in Shiroro, Munya and Rafi Local Government Areas of Niger state.

The order, the Governor had reiterated had also became necessary following continued bandits’ attacks on the councils until further notice.

The Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari has openly described Thursday’s dastardly bandit attack in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State where expatriates were kidnapped as a direct assault on Nigeria which will not be allowed to go unpunished.

President Muhammadu Buhari had also paid tributes to the gallant men of the security forces who had lost their lives in the process of defending the attack by the bandits.
