Senate Passes Sexual Harassment Bill To Protect Female Students

The Nigerian Senate on Tuesday passed the Sexual Harassment Bill which seeks to redress sexual harassment of students in tertiary educational institutions.
The bill is titled: ‘A Bill for an Act to prevent, prohibit and redress sexual harassment of students in tertiary educational institutions and for matters concerned therewith, 2019”.
This followed the presentation of the report of the Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters by Chairman of the Committee, Sen. Opeyemi Bamidele.
