
Xi Jinping Offers Condolences To Italy, Iran, South Korea
Chinese President Xi Jinping has spoken to his Italian counterpart Sergio Mattarella over the phone to offer his “sincere condolences” to the Italian people over the coronavirus crisis.
CCTV reported on Saturday that Xi Jinping also held phone calls with the presidents of two other severely hit countries, Iran and South Korea, again expressing condolences.
The calls came as China appears to have tamed the coronavirus pandemic, as the epicentre has now shifted to Europe and travellers are even now bringing the virus back to China.
