U.N. reveals secret tape of Khashoggi’s last moments

The top line out of the new United Nations report released Wednesday on the killing of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi is that there is “credible evidence” that Saudi Arabia’s crown prince and other high-level officials are personally liable for the grisly murder.

But the 101-page report also shows that while Khashoggi was certainly a wanted man, the kingdom may not have conspired to kill him as a first choice but rather did so as a Plan B, according to the findings by Special Rapporteur Agnes Callamard.

Atiku in secret meeting with Southern, Middle Belt Leaders

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last general election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, on Wednesday met with leaders of the Southern/Middle Belt Forum in Abuja.

The close-door meeting, which lasted for about an hour, took place at the Asokoro, Abuja residence of elder statesman, Chief Edwin Clarke.

Those who attended the meeting with Atiku include Middle Belt Leader, Air Commodore Dan Suleiman (rtd); Afenifere leader, Chief Ayo Adebanjo; Ohanaeze President, Chief John Nwodo; and Major-Gen. Zamani Lekwot (rtd).

About a week ago, the former Senate President Sen. Ken Nnamani called a meeting in his Abuja’s residence to review All Progressives Congress plan towards winning the South East, Africa Daily News, New York exclusively gathered from a reliable source.
