Suspected Armed Robbers Kill Unidentified Man In Delta

Suspected armed robbers, at about 10 a.m. on Christmas eve shot dead a yet-to-be-identified man in Polokor Market, Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State.

The suspected armed robbers who did not pick a pin from the deceased, also shot sporadically in the air to scare people.

They ensured the deceased breath his last before they left the scene of the incident, THISDAY reports.

A former Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Roland Owie, yesterday described the Nigerian ruling class as “armed robbers” who will “rot in hell.”

Police Cautions Bank Customers On Robbers New Strategy

The Ebonyi Police Command on Thursday said it had uncovered a new strategy used by criminals to rob bank customers.

The command’s spokesperson, Mrs Loveth Odah, made this known in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abakaliki.

Odah warned members of the public, especially bank customers, to always be security conscious whenever they make bank transaction.

According to her, the new strategy involves trailing their victims through a female member of their syndicate who are usually monitoring financial transactions around banks’ premises.

Robbers Attack UBA In Ekiti, Policeman, Girl Killed (Photo)

A police officer attached to a branch of the United Bank for Africa (UBA) in Oye-Ekiti has been shot dead in a robbery attack on Thursday.

A girl, believed to be about five years old, was also killed by the gunmen while on her way back from school.

The gunmen made away with money from the bank’s vault and stole from the customers.

Robbers Invade Ibadan Cmmunity; 1 Dead, Several Injured

A yet to be identified night guard was allegedly killed by armed robbers in Oju-irin, Akobo area of Ibadan on Saturday when robbers numbering about 15 invaded the community.
The News Agency of Nigerian(NAN) reports that several others including a couple and 12 night guards sustained various degrees of injuries during the robbery.

The night guards attacked were reported to be working in Yawiri, Idi-isin, Tella, Anifalaje, Apata, Iyana Akanni, and Oju-Irin areas of Akobo where the robbers operated for several hours.

Police arrest 3 traffic robbers in Lagos

The police in Lagos said it arrested three suspected traffic robbers in two separate operations around Ayobo/Ipaja areas of the state, less than 24 hours to Sallah holidays.

Tragedy struck yesterday in Idoani, the headquarters of Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State, as armed robbers attacked a first generation bank, killing seven persons and carting away an undisclosed amount of money.
