Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia, a well known catholic priest in Benue State got has gotten a suspension from the Catholic Diocese of Gboko in Benue State has suspended a priest, for joining the governorship race in the state.

Alia who had been warned against the move had gone ahead to pick up the ₦50m governorship form of the All Progressives Congress and had been cleared by the ruling party to participate alongside 11 successful aspirants in the party’s primary.
