The case involving former Nigeria international, Nwankwo Kanu, and AMCON over the takeover of his hotel will resume on January 28 at the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos as the parties involved hope for a final resolution.

A Federal High Court had ordered that the hotel named Hardley Apartments and located on Waziri Ibrahim Crescent on Victoria Island, Lagos, be locked up after an unresolved issue with AMCON dating back to 2015.

The lawmakers at the Imo State House of Assembly will on Tuesday (today) resume from their one month Christmas and New Year break.

The lawmakers had, on December 24, adjourned till January 21 after passing into law the 2020 budget estimate presented by Emeka Ihedioha, who has now been sacked by the Supreme Court as the governor of the state.

As the lawmakers resume today, there are strong indications that majority of the lawmakers will defect to the All Progressives Congress.

Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter resumed teaching Sunday school at Maranatha Baptist Church in his hometown of Plains, Georgia, on Sunday after recovering from hip surgery, a spokeswoman for the Carter Center said.
