Court Restrains Ayade, 4 Others From Interfering In JSC

State High Court sitting in Calabar has restrained Governor Ben Ayade and four others from interfering in the affairs of the Cross River State Judicial Service Commission (JSC).

Ayade, on October 25, inaugurated a four-man member JSC in what some lawyers consider a breach of the law.

The governor had earlier dissolved a five man commission inaugurated on July 7, 2017 while its tenure was yet to expire.

Court Restrains Edo From Demolishing APC Boss’ Hotel

A Benin High Court yesterday restrained the Edo State Government from demolition of a property (T. Latifah Hotel and Suites) belonging to a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Tony Adun, popularly known as Kabaka.

The hotel located at the Ugbor axis of Benin City is said to have been built on government land.
