The Resident Electoral Commissioner for Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Rivers State, Mr. Obo Effanga yesterday shared insights on how he believes the menace of vote buying can be curbed.

Prison Term Slammed On Politicians Who Pick Two Forms – INEC

While reacting to the controversies surrounding some Nigerian politicians who have opted for two forms while running with proxies, Mike Igini the Resident Electoral Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Akwa Ibom State, has announced that these politicians who had contested for more than one elective office would be risking conviction for electoral offences for violation of the Electoral Act, 2022.

Igini had made this disclosure on Tuesday while featuring on Channels TV’s Sunrise Daily.
