Popular young rapper and singer Juice WRLD, whose real name is Jarad Anthony Higgins, died as a result of oxycodone and codeine toxicity, the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office revealed on Wednesday.

According to the medical examiner, the rapper’s death was an accident.

Corruption: Malami Disputes Transparency Report On Nigeria

The Federal Government has reacted to the Transparency International Corruption perceptions Index released on Thursday

The Director-General of the National Council for Arts and Culture, Olusegun Runsewe, failed to explain why he spent ₦5.6 million to buy a car without certification from the agency’s transport officer and auditor.

Facebook suffered an outage Thursday affecting the social platform and its other platforms such as Instagram.

As of 1700 GMT they had been down for several hours.

Report: ₦1.2tn Spent On IDPs By Govts, Donor Agencies

The International Displacement Monitoring Centre (IDMC) said weekend that the federal government and the international community have so far expended ₦1.2 trillion on Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the North-east.

The Norwegian-based centre said the amount was spent on health, housing and livelihoods of displaced persons.

AIB Releases Report On Incidents Involving Air Peace

Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) Nigeria has released the preliminary reports on the incidents involving three aircraft, two B737-300s with tail number 5N-BUK and 5N-BQO and a B737-500 with registration 5N-BRN owned and operated by Air Peace and has issued safety recommendations.

The bureau has issued six safety recommendations for immediate implementation by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and all operators especially with regards Standard Operational Procedures (SOP).

The Ebonyi State Government has debunked a story published on Page 9 of Daily Sun of Monday, October 21, 2019.

Africa Sees Improvements In Visa Openness – Report

Africa has seen great improvements in visa openness as Africans can travel to more countries visa-free, according to the 2019 Africa Visa Openness Index released on Monday.
For the first time, Africans on average can travel to approximately 27 countries visa-free or with a visa on arrival, said the report compiled by the African Union Commission (AU Commission) and African Development Bank (AfDB).

The progress on visa openness in Africa follows growing momentum for greater integration between countries and signals that policymakers across the continent are pushing reforms, making it easier for African businessmen and women, investors, students and tourists

2020 Budget Report To Be Ready Nov. 26, Says Lawan

The report of the 2020 budget proposal presented to the National Assembly by President Muhammadu Buhari on October 8 will be ready by November 26, the Senate President, Dr Ahmad Lawan, has said.
Lawan, who spoke at plenary on Tuesday, expressed hope that the Appropriation Committees of the two chambers would be ready with the budget report on the specified date.
He directed the Senate committee on Appropriation headed by Senator Barau Jibrin, to galvanise action towards laying the budget report before the Senate at plenary on November 26.
