PSC Rejects List Of Successful Candidates From IGP

The Police Service Commission (PSC), Tuesday rejected the list of successful candidates for published by the force headquarters in Abuja for training in the ongoing recruitment of ten thousand constables into the force.

PSC head of public relations and information, Ikechukwu Ani, described the list is an act of illegality and “serious breach of the Federal Character requirements”.

UK lawmakers failed once again to find any way out of the Brexit deadlock after parliament rejected a series of alternatives to Theresa May’s withdrawal deal.

None of the four options on the non-binding ballot, which included a confirmatory referendum and remaining in the European Union’s single market, gained a majority on Monday.
The second or confirmatory referendum proposal had the most support among parliamentarians, with 280 votes.

The Sokoto State Chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) on Sunday rejected the declaration of Gov. Aminu Tambuwal as winner of the just-concluded governorship election in the state.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has earlier declared Tambuwal winner of the election after Saturday’s supplementary with a narrow margin of 342 votes,

Obaseki rejects borehole, toilets as constituency projects

Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has said that Edo people would no longer accept boreholes and toilets as constituency projects from lawmakers elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress.

Governor Obaseki said he would not allowed duplication of projects as well as projects not worth N500m from National Assembly members.

Obaseki, who spoke at a reception for APC members and supporters to celebrate the success of the party at the general elections in the state.

Osun election: APC rejects tribunal’s verdict

The All Progressives Congress in the State of Osun has rejected the verdict of the Election Petition Tribunal that declared Ademola Adeleke the winner of the 2018 governorship election in the state.

In a statement signed by the Osun APC director of publicity, research and strategy, Kunle Oyatomi, APC cast doubts on the verdict, noting it will not hold water when contested.

“The verdict cannot stand superior legal scrutiny. Therefore we will appeal against it,” the statement said.
