Kaduna Explosion: DPR Recovers More Bodies Of 3 Victims

The Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) on Friday said a combined team of DPR, KEPA and other agencies have recovered mutilated bodies of three more victims of the Jan. 4 Kaduna gas explosion.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the recovery of the three bodies brings to eight the number of victims killed by the gas explosion.

The North West Zonal Controller, DPR, Isa Tafida made the disclosure during a condolence visit to the family of the late Chairman of Nigeria Atomic Energy Commission, Prof. Simon Mallam.

EFCC Recovers Additional ₦70m In Kwara

The Ilorin zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Wednesday disclosed that it has recovered additional Seventy Million Naira for the Kwara State government in its ongoing efforts to recover funds allegedly stolen by corrupt individuals.

The commission had on October 11, 2019, handed over the sum of N112m recovered to the state Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq in Ilorin.

Ministry of Justice recovers $779.5m, ₦59.2bn

The outgoing Attorney-General of the Federation, Mr Abubakar Malami, SAN, said the Ministry of Justice has recovered 779.5 million dollars and N59.2 billion stolen from the country.

Malami said this on Tuesday in Abuja, while handing over to the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Mr Dayo Apata.

EFCC arrests six `Yahoo’ boys, recovers exotic cars

OPERATIVES of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at the Ibadan Zonal Office have arrested six `Yahoo’ boys and recovered five different models of exotic cars and  laptops.

The Acting Head, Media and Publicity of the commission, Mr Tony Orilade, who broke the news yesterday in Abuja Tuesday, said other items recovered from the suspects include mobile phones and documents containing false information.
