Arik Air’s Fleet Receives Boost, To Enhance Experience

Arik Air received two aircraft from C-Check over the weekend, thereby boosting the operations of the airline in the coming festive season.

The two aircraft include a Q-400, while the Boeing 737-800 check was conducted by Lufthansa Technik AG in Malta.

According to a statement, over the last two years the current management has been working hard to improve the number of serviceable aircraft in the airline’s fleet.

It pointed out that the efforts were already yielding results.

Efforts by University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) to upgrade its medical centre received a big boost following the donation of various equipment worth over N6 million by a medical equipment company, Equator Medics International Limited.

Equipment donated include a multi- purpose operating table for surgical procedures of the head, neck, thorax and abdomen. The facility which can be raised or lowered hydraulically by means of an oil pump is also used for gynaecological and orthopedics operations.

Family of the late corps member who died during the Oyo state electoral process has received ₦1.9 million cheque from INEC.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) presented a cheque of ₦1.9 million to the family of Late corps member, Miss Kemisola Adeniran.. The cheque was presented to the deceased’s next of kin and sister, Mrs Folasade Adeyemi, at INEC office in Ibadan on Tuesday.

The Government of Japan has named former Minister of National Planning and Budget, Senator Udoma Udo Udoma, as one of the foreign recipients of the 2019 Autumn Imperial Decorations.

White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said Trump will bestow the award, the nation’s highest civilian honor, on the golfing great in the White House Rose Garden.
