Ten Killed In ‘Racist’ Shooting At Grocery Store In US

A heavily armed 18-year-old man yesterday sent no fewer than 10 people to their graves at a Buffalo, New York grocery store in a ‘racially motivated’ attack that he live-streamed on camera, authorities have confirmed.

Footage which was obtained by Africa Daily News, New York showed the gunman, who was wearing body armour and a helmet, was arrested after the massacre, Buffalo Police Commissioner Joseph Gramaglia told a news conference.

Gramaglia put the toll at 10 dead and three wounded. Eleven of the victims were African Americans.

Italian club Verona’s partial one-match stadium closure for racist chants directed at Brescia striker Mario Balotelli in a Serie A game earlier this month was suspended on appeal Thursday.

The Italian Football Federation’s (FIGC) disciplinary commission had ordered Verona to host Fiorentina on Sunday with the “Poltrone Est” section of their Bentegodi Stadium closed.

It followed racist chanting directed towards Italian international Balotelli during his team’s 2-1 defeat on November 3 in Verona.

Ex-England Coach Charged By FA Over Alleged Racist Comment

Stevenage caretaker manager and former England Women head coach Mark Sampson was Wednesday charged by the Football Association over using allegedly racist language.

Sampson, who took interim charge of the club, who play in English football’s fourth tier, in September, is accused of making the remark about a player during a conversation about transfer targets.

The FA said he had been charged with an “aggravated” breach of Rule E3 and has until December 6 to respond.

Stevenage said in September that an internal investigation into the matter had found there was no case for Sampson to answer.
