Again Nigerian Govt Declares Monday Public Holiday

The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared next Monday, the 10th October 2022 as Public Holiday.

A statement issued by Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola wich was obtained by Africa Daily News, New York said the holiday is to mark this year’s Eid-ul-Mawlid Celebration in commemoration of the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him).

Aregbesola also used the opportunity to congratulate all Muslims both at home and in the Diaspora for witnessing this year’s occasion.

He admonished all Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of love, patience. tolerance and perseverance which are deep spiritual virtues …

Democracy Day: FG Declares Monday Public Holiday

The Nigerian federal government has announced Monday June 13 as a public holiday to mark this year’s Democracy Day.

Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, who made this announcement on Thursday night also congratulated Nigerians on the occasion which commemorates the annulled June 12, 1993 presidential election.

Africa Daily News, New York recalls that the poll, won by the late business mogul M.K.O. Abiola, was canceled by the Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida regime.

Aregbesola urged citizens to support the President Muhammadu Buhari administration in its efforts at ensuring a united and prosperous nation.
