In the hours before kick-off on Saturday, Oslo became the stage for a heated showdown. As Norway faced Israel in the 2026 World Cup qualifier  match at Ullevaal Stadium, the city witnessed large pro-Palestinian protests.

Supporters of Emeka Ihedioha, former governor of Imo, flooded the streets of Owerri, the state capital, on Sunday, demanding a reversal of the supreme court judgement which ordered his sack.

The apex court had on Tuesday ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to return Hope Uzodinma, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as winner of the March election.

Uzodinma placed a distant fourth in the results announced by INEC.
