Inferno Destroys ₦20m Property, Kills 15 Persons In Kano

In a recent report, the Kano State Fire Service has admitted  that up to 15 persons have been killed and properties worth up to ₦20 million have also been destroyed in some various fire incidents which had occurred in the state in October.

This report had also been contained in a statement which had been signed by the Public Relations Officer of the service, Alhaji Saminu Abdullahi on Thursday in Kano.

‘£117m Properties Linked To Ibori’ In UK To Be Seized

The United Kingdom has launched a fresh bid to confiscate “proceeds of loot” in the £117 million worth of properties linked to James Ibori, former governor of Delta state.

In 2012, a UK court sentenced Ibori – who governed Delta from 1999 to 2007 – to prison after convicting him of fraud and money laundering.

The former governor ended his jail term in 2016 and returned to Nigeria the following year.

UK Police Search Properties After 39 Found Dead In Truck

British police have searched properties in Northern Ireland hours after launching a major murder investigation into the discovery of 39 dead bodies inside a truck at an industrial park near London.

Officers raided two addresses late Wednesday in County Armagh, which are believed to be linked to the truck driver, a 25-year-old man from the UK-ruled province, according to multiple reports.

A Federal High Court in Lagos on Monday, October 21, 2019, ordered the interim forfeiture of two properties located at Ikoyi area of Lagos State belonging to the immediate past Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki to be forfeited to the Federal Government of Nigeria.
