Rights Of Almajiris Will Be Protected, Programme Manager

Hajiya Zainab Magaji, the Programme Manager of Bi-Lingual Educational Programme in Nasarawa State says no rights of any Almajiri student will be trampled upon under the watch of the programme in the state.

Magaji gave the assurance in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday in Lafia.

SPARK programme: FirstBank to empower 500 widows

First Bank of Nigeria Limited says it will scale up its empowerment of widows to 500 before the end of the year.

The bank, which provided funding to the widows to grow their micro-medium scale businesses, has empowered 125 widows as identified by the International Women Society (IWS).

FAO launches Country Programme Framework for Nigeria

The Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO) has launched its Country Programme Framework for Nigeria (CPF) for 2018 to 2022.

The launch took place on Tuesday in Abuja.
Mr Suffyan Koroma, FAO Country Representative, said during a public presentation of the programme that the CPF was a guide on FAOs partnership and collaboration with the Federal Government for food security and national development for a five year circle.

In preparing the documents, the stakeholders identified five key areas priorities in which the organisation could best apply and leverage its knowledge, resources, experience and expertise, Koroma said.
