The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) last Friday suspended the trading on the shares of A.G. Leventis Nigeria Plc. The exchanged explained to the stockbrokers that the full suspension is required to prevent further trading in the shares of the company in order to determine the shareholders that will qualify to receive the scheme consideration from the Scheme of Arrangement between A.G. Bayelsa PDP Candidate Describes Process as Smooth, Peaceful

Sen. Douye Diri, Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) candidate for the Bayelsa governorship election, on Saturday, described the electoral process as “smooth and peaceful”.
Diri made his thoughts known while speaking with newsmen shortly after casting his vote at Polling Unit 4, in Sampou, Kokuma-Opokuma Local Government Area of the state.

He said that observations and feedbacks from some members of the public indicated that the process had been smooth and peaceful in some areas “although we have received calls concerning anomalies in some parts of the state.

“We urge the security agencies to be vigilant.”

Congress formally opened a new, public phase of its presidential investigation Thursday as US lawmakers voted for the first time to advance the impeachment process against Donald Trump.

“Today, the House takes the next step forward as we establish the procedures for open hearings conducted by the House Intelligence Committee so that the public can see the facts for themselves,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said shortly before the vote.
