Human rights activist, Femi Falana, Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to stop members of his family from using aircraft in the presidential fleet.

Falana said while reacting to Hanan Buhari, the president’s daughter report of flying in a presidential jet to Bauchi State on Thursday for a private function.

He said the use of aircraft in the presidential fleet by members of the first family for private events is not backed by law.

The Independent Corrupt Practices and other Offences Commission (ICPC) has accused an unnamed senator representing Imo State of diverting a constituency project to his personal hotel.

The ICPC Commissioner in the state, Udonsi Arua, made the allegation during the celebration of the 2019 United Nations International Anti-Corruption Day in Owerri, the state capital.

In line with Rivers State Government’s desire to establish a formidable educational sector at the public and private institutions, the Committee for Accreditation and Approval of Private Schools setup by the Governor Nyesom Wike has submitted a comprehensive report to the state government.

Vice-Chancellor of McPherson University, Seriki Sotayo, in Ogun State, Prof  Adeniyi Agunbiade has appealed to the Federal Government to include private universities in the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) intervention grant.
