Former Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, on Monday rubbished President Muhammadu Buhari’s comparison of Nigeria’s fuel price with that of Saudi Arabia and other countries paying higher.

Atiku, who spoke through his Media Aide, Paul Ibe described Buhari’s comparison as, ‘needless and unnecessary.’

Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari had said fuel will now be sold at ₦161 per litre in Nigeria.

Speaking during his Independence Day nationwide broadcast, Buhari had noted that other nations such as Ghana, Niger, Chad Saudi Arabia sell petrol at a higher price than Nigeria.

Arewa Reacts As Atiku’s Son Declares Ex-VP Will Run For Presidency

The Arewa Youths Consultative Forum, AYCF, has reacted to reports that Atiku Abubakar, former Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, will be running for the same office in 2023.

One of Atiku’s sons, Abubakar Adamu had explained that the former Vice President would contest for presidency again in 2023 because “he has been an astute, strategic, master politician for almost four decades.”

Adamu, who is the Commissioner for Works and Energy in Adamawa State made the disclosure while presenting his Ministry’s one-year score card.

Atiku was defeated during the 2015 presidential election by President Muhammadu Buhari after several attempts.
