‘Arrest Him Video’: Leave Gambari Alone – Presidency To PDP

The Presidency has condemned the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), for twisting the import of a video showing the Chief of Staff to the President, Ibrahim Gambari and former Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole.

A presidential source described the PDP action as ”a complete waste of time”.

The PDP had in the last few days addressed several press briefings over the video clip, where the word ‘arrest’ was mentioned and had imputed many interpretations to it.

Global football ruling body FIFA says there is no reason for Swiss authorities to launch criminal proceedings against its president, Gianni Infantino, who will continue in his role as normal.

Swiss authorities said on Thursday that proceedings had been launched against the current FIFA boss by a special prosecutor.

The judicial officer is looking into meetings Infantino had with the Swiss Attorney-General, Michael Lauber.

Lauber and Infantino have already denied any wrongdoing.

The Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, to return the two houses forfeited temporarily to the Federal Government to former Senate President, Bukola Saraki.

The court on Thursday reversed its order of interim forfeiture of the Ilorin properties to the Federal Government.

Justice Rilwan Aikawa ordered the release of the houses back to Saraki while, while delivering judgment on an application by the EFCC seeking to permanently forfeit the houses to the Federal Government.
